I grew up in Ann Arbor, Mich., and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2016. I'm currently working for CBS Detroit in their Digital Media Department and BT Powerhouse as a Contributor.
I've previously worked for the Detroit Lions as a Digital Media Intern, Detroit Red Wings as a Public Relations Game Night Assistant, MLB.com as an Associate Reporter, Spartan Nation as a Freelance Reporter, MiHockey and MLive Media Group as an Intern Reporter, MSU's College of Social Science as a Student Reporter and the Lansing Lugnuts as a member of the Game Day Production Staff. Before all of those positions I worked nearly three years for The State News, MSU's student newspaper. My positions at The State News included Sports Reporter and Editor.
I'm a three-time Best of MSU Journalism Award winner, taking first and second place in the Sports Writing category in 2014. I was also awarded third place in the Feature Writing category in the same competition. I've had some of my work published in "Reaching Higher: Mark Dantonio and the Rise of Michigan State Football" and was part of staff that won Associated Collegiate Press 2014 Online Pacemaker for Best College Newspaper Website.
My working goals and interest are centered around the sports world. My long term goal is to work for a sports franchise or program, either on the journalism or public relations side.
